Version 0 of 1.

The court hearing of England rugby star Olly Barkley, who is charged with assaulting a fellow guest at a wedding, has been adjourned.

The 26-year-old Bath fly-half was due to appear at Aylesbury Magistrates' Court for a committal hearing.

Mr Barkley denies assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Sky Sports producer Simon Cole.

The alleged attack took place following a reception at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire last summer.

At a previous hearing Mr Barkley indicated a not guilty plea and opted for a crown court trial.

His solicitor sent a letter to the court asking for an adjournment because of his client's work commitments.

The case will now be heard on Thursday.

Mr Barkley appeared for England during the 2007 World Cup in France and has earned 21 caps during his career.
