Version 0 of 1.

He left the UK under a cloud of defeat, and – after a week in Ibiza – flew back accompanied by a stag do and a woman in a fun hat.

The Morning Star reported that "party animal" Ed Miliband was heading back to the UK.

Miliband and his wife Justine Thornton flew to the party island to "get away from it all" on 11 May after he stepped down as leader on 8 May, following a thrashing at the polls.

Jack Forrester, a stag who spotted Miliband on his flight, commented on how rubbish his seat was and said that he was the last to board the EasyJet flight to London Stansted.

Labour was defeated at the polls, with the Conservatives claiming enough of a majority to rule on their own. Miliband said he took "absolute and total responsibility" for the loss.

He will have landed to a party in disarray and a five-way leadership battle to replace him as party leader.

Tristram Hunt, Yvette Cooper, Andy Burnham, Mary Creagh and Liz Kendall are competing for Miliband's old job.

'Beefa can feel like a bit of a blur, but hopefully he'll have enough good memories of raving on the stage at Manusmission or getting a bit crazy at Space to sustain him through the coming weeks.
