Search for missing man called off Missing man's body found in loch

The search for a 50-year-old man who has not been seen for five days has been called off for the night. The body of a holidaymaker missing in the Cairngorm National Park has been found following a major search.
Cordell Thompson, a South African sales manager who has been living in Reading, Berkshire, was last seen at the High Range Hotel, Aviemore, on Tuesday. Sales manager Cordell Thompson, 50, from Reading, Berkshire, had last been seen on Tuesday.
He was reported missing by the hotel when he failed to hand in his keys on Friday. A major search operation was launched When he failed to return to his hotel on Friday and his car was found at Loch an Eilean in Rothiemurchus on Saturday.
Two mountain rescue teams and 14 search and rescue dogs have been involved in the effort to find him. Police said Mr Thompson's body was found by a member of the public in a small loch on Monday afternoon.
Mr Thompson's silver BMW estate car was found at Loch an Eilean on Saturday. Northern Constabulary said there were no suspicious circumstances.
The Cairngorm and RAF Kinloss mountain rescue teams have been searching the Rothiemurchus area. Mr Thompson, a South African who had been living in Reading, was last seen at the High Range Hotel in Aviemore, on Tuesday.
A rescue helicopter was involved in the search on Saturday but was stood down on Sunday. He was reported missing by the hotel when he failed to hand in his keys in.
A Northern Constabulary spokesman said concern was now growing for Mr Thompson's wellbeing. Two mountain rescue teams, 14 search and rescue dogs and a rescue helicopter were involved in the effort to find him over the weekend.
He has been described as being 5ft 11in tall, of slim/medium build with blue eyes and a pale complexion with grey short hair. Mr Thompson's daughter Chantelle said he was a keen walker who had visited Scotland before.
He speaks with a light South African accent and was possibly wearing a blue/tan jacket. She added: "We used to go for walks back home along the Thames. We tended to go out over the weekends and go for walks with him.
Police have appealed for anyone who has seen Mr Thompson to contact them on 01479 810 222. "He has been up to Scotland a few times for a week or so and gone walking around the hills. He enjoyed it and used to go on holidays for it."
