He was reported missing by the hotel when he failed to hand in his keys on Friday. | |
His silver BMW estate car was found at Loch an Eilean on Saturday. | |
The Cairngorm and RAF Kinloss mountain rescue teams have been searching the Rothiemurchus area. | |
A rescue helicopter was involved in the search on Saturday but was stood down on Sunday. | |
A Northern Constabulary spokesman said concern was now growing for Mr Thompson's wellbeing. | |
He has been described as being 5ft 11in tall, of slim/medium build with blue eyes and a pale complexion with grey short hair. | |
He speaks with a light South African accent and was possibly wearing a blue/tan jacket. | |
