A team of 14 search and rescue dogs have joined the effort to find a man who has gone missing in the Aviemore area. A team of 14 search and rescue dogs have joined the effort to find a 50-year-old man who has gone missing in the Aviemore area.
The 56-year-old man, who is from the Reading area, failed to return to his holiday accommodation on Friday. Cordell Thompson, a South African sales manager who has been living in Reading, Berkshire, was last seen at the High Range Hotel on Tuesday.
The Cairngorm and Kinloss mountain rescue teams have been searching the Rothiemurchus area after the man's car was found at Loch an Eileen. He was reported missing by the hotel when he failed to hand in his keys on Friday.
A rescue helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth has now been stood down. His silver BMW estate car was found at Loch an Eilean on Saturday.

A Northern Constabulary spokesman said concern was now growing for Mr Thompson's wellbeing.
He has been described as being 5ft 11in tall, of slim/medium build with blue eyes and a pale complexion with grey short hair.
He speaks with a light South African accent and was possibly wearing a blue/tan jacket.
