Severe storms and rain could return as midwest faces renewed tornado risk

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center said severe thunderstorms could develop in parts of Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Texas on Saturday. The center said there was a risk of large hail, strong winds and several tornadoes with the system. The greatest chance of severe weather stretched from southern Nebraska to central and western Kansas and Oklahoma. Last weekend, such severe weather caused several tornadoes, flooding and at least five deaths. |
