Man injured after car hits wall

A 20-year-old man suffered serious head and arm injuries after the car he was in crashed into a wall in Fife.

The incident happened at about 2000 GMT on Friday on the B9131 Anstruther to St Andrews Road.

The man who was hurt was a front seat passenger in the blue Ford Fiesta which lost control while overtaking.

The road was closed for about four hours while a crash investigation was carried out. The injured man is being treated at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

Fife Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw the vehicle being driven in the St Andrews or Anstruther area earlier in the evening to contact them on 01592 25 1111.
