Bridgend river incident man taken to hospital

A man has been taken to hospital after 999 crews were called to an incident near a river bridge in Bridgend, said South Wales Police. The Welsh Ambulance Service said the man, who had been in the water, was on the bank when paramedics arrived on the scene after a callout at 19:30 BST. Police and firefighters had been called to help with the rescue as he was found near an embankment. The man was taken to Cardiff's University of Wales Hospital. The air ambulance was called to the scene but a land ambulance took the man to hospital. |
