Arnold Schwarzenegger joins line of unexpected celebrities to congratulate David Cameron on his election win
Version 0 of 1. As if having the support of Gary Barlow and Simon Cowell wasn't enough, David Cameron's got a new fan in the form of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Schwarzenegger - who took time out from action films to become Governor of California between 2003-2011 - took to Twitter to give his friend a firm digital handshake. The actor-turned-politican, who represented the Republican party in the Californian elections, clearly supports Cameron in a political and personal sense. Terming the re-elected PM a "friend", perhaps Schwarzenegger is hoping to get an invitation to 10 Downing Street in the near future. Congratulations to my friend @David_Cameron on your great victory. I look forward to seeing you very soon. Arnie, joins an eclectic line-up of celebrities, including Peter Stringfellow, QPR player Karl Henry, Dragons Den star Kelly Hoppen and business person and TV personality Karren Brady, to warmly congratulate Cameron. Stringy was over the moon at Cameron's victory, and even threw a party at his nightclubs, offering free lap dances and shots to fellow Tory supporters. And the absolute decision has been made !Great news for @David_Cameron the @Conservatives and all who aspire to a better life ! Queens Park Rangers midfielder Karl Henry was pretty happy, too - as were Karren Brady and Kelly Hoppen. Great result! The intelligent British people have spoken. Well done @David_Cameron and the rest of the @Conservatives congratulations to @David_Cameron& @Conservatives for achieving majority. so pleased you can finish what you started https://t.co/cmeA4x4dhO Congratulations to @David_Cameron @Conservatives xx |
