Version 0 of 1.

A professional musician who tweeted Amtrak asking for her violin back following the derailment of a train in Philadelphia that killed five people has been subject to criticism on social media.

Jennifer Kim, a violinist with the Washington National Opera Orchestra, was heavily criticised by Twitter users after tweeting about the loss of her violin, which was on board the derailed Amtrak train.

The original tweet has since been deleted and her Twitter account appears to be unavailable, but parody accounts masquerading as Kim have since cropped up.

Because your violin is the highest priority for EMT's and first responders right now #Amtrak @vinoviolin pic.twitter.com/TgM2K0OJMc

You seriously created a parody account of somebody who was just in a train crash? https://t.co/1cFS3N3GND

The backlash against Kim has been fierce, however other users have come to her defence.

Look, maybe tweeting Amtrak to get her violin out of the wreck was distasteful, but for the love of mercy people... give the girl a break.

people got mad at a victim of the Amtrak wreak cuz she tweeted she lost her violin? What kind of freaks are we?

At least five people died and 140 people were injured when Amtrak train 188 crashed shortly after leaving the station in Philadelphia.
