It is understood he died from injuries he sustained during an attack by several men. It is thought the man, who was from the Travelling community, was attacked by a gang of men with machetes and hatchets.
Police officers have cordoned off the scene. The body was found at about 0230 GMT on Thursday. A relative of the victim claimed he was killed in front of his pregnant wife and children. His wife was injured.
The door of their home was kicked in by the gang.
The man's vehicle was smashed up by the gang as they left. His relative said other members of his family had been previously attacked.
Police officers have cordoned off the scene and are seeking information.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who observed what is believed to have been a large, dark car leaving the area at the time to contact them.
