Man arrested as missing Essex schoolgirls Sammy Clarke and Siobhan Clarke found
Version 0 of 1. A 22-year-old man has been arrested after two missing schoolgirls were found by Essex police. Sammy Clarke, 14, and Siobhan Clarke, 15, have been discovered by police in the Westcliff area following their disappearance, Sky News reports. The girls, who are from the Maldon area had not been heard from since they disappeared on 1 May. Sammy and Siobhan Clarke went missing from Shoeburyness, on the coast near Southend According to Essex police, the teenagers, who are not related, had been sighted leaving school early on Friday and had not been seen since. The man arrested in relation to the case is from the Southend area. Chief Inspector Jonathan Baldwin said at the time of their disappearance: "We are extremely concerned for the welfare of Sammy, Siobhan and Kieran as none of them has been seen for nearly two days or have been in touch with relatives or friends. "We would like to hear from anyone who has been in touch with the girls either by social media or by text or telephone calls." A search was undertaken in Southend and police have spoken to the girls' friends and family. PA |
