Nicolas Roeg’s acclaimed 1973 horror film Don’t Look Now will be receiving the remake treatment.

The new version of the film, originally adapted from a short story by Daphne du Maurier, will be produced by Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman along with StudioCanal. Rona has previously worked on films including Scary Movie 3 and Dracula 2001 and collaborated with Heineman on the Liam Neeson thrillers Unknown and Non-Stop.

The pair are also attached to the revisionist Robin Hood film Nottingham & Hood at Disney as well as a remake of Escape From New York, which recently landed at Fox.

The remake has yet to secure any actors or a director but studios are reportedly showing interest in picking the film up.

Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie starred in the original film as a couple grieving the death of their young daughter. After they move to Venice, a clairvoyant warns them they are in great danger.
