Version 0 of 1.

Police are treating the death of a 69-year-old man in County Antrim as murder.

Matt Shirley was discovered in the Drumtara area of Ballymena on Tuesday afternoon.

Detectives have appealed for information about "an altercation involving a group of people".

Two men aged 41 and 49, and a 47-year-old woman are still being questioned in connection with Mr Shirley's death.

His niece, Amanda McCooke, said it was hard to accept.

"There's some of the family just can't take it in about what's happened," she said.

"It is sad to know that he's no longer here."

Police said they wanted to speak to anyone who was in the Drumtara area from Sunday evening until teatime on Monday who may have information about the incident.
