A man accused of murdering a woman whose dismembered body was found in a Rhondda Cynon Taff flat has appeared in crown court via a video link.

Christopher Nathan May, 50, is charged with murdering Tracey Woodford, 47, at his home in Pontypridd.

Mr May, who is yet to enter a plea, spoke only to confirm his name and was remanded in custody at Cardiff Crown Court on Tuesday.

The court heard his trial is expected to take place in October.
