Teacher on indecent image charges

A grammar school teacher has appeared in court charged with making and possessing indecent images of children.

Steven Vincent Colton, 51, from Broom Park in the Twinbrook area of west Belfast, teaches at Sullivan Upper in Holywood, County Down.

He has been charged with two counts of making indecent images and two of possessing them.

Mr Colton made no comment while he stood in the dock and was remanded on bail of Â£500 for eight weeks.

A police officer told Lisburn Magistrates Court he believed he could connect him to the charges.
