Man is charged over city stabbing Man facing murder attempt charge

A 19-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and making threats to kill following an incident in west Belfast at the weekend. A Belfast call centre worker has been remanded in custody charged with attempted murder and making threats to kill.
A 26-year-old man was stabbed a number of times at Albert Street off the Falls Road on Saturday evening. Christopher Kenny, 19, of Derryveagh Drive was detained after a man was stabbed in the city on Saturday night.
A police spokesperson said the man's injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. The 26-year-old man was attacked at Albert Street off the Falls Road.
The teenager is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court later on Tuesday. A detective sergeant told Belfast Magistrate's Court she could connect Mr Kenny to the charges. He will appear in court again via videolink next month.
The accused did not speak as he stood in the dock.
