Green party manifesto: key policies explained in a minute
Version 0 of 1. The Green Party have launched their manifesto for the 2015 General Election, setting out the pledges they intend to implement should they win the race to Number 10. Natalie Bennett’s Green Party want to end austerity, restore the public sector and create jobs that pay a living wage. On a similar line, they want to re-nationalise the rail system – scrapping HS2 along the way – and cut public transport fares. The Greens also want to increase the NHS budget by £12billion annually. Meanwhile, they claim they will build half a million new homes, capping rents and abolishing right to buy council houses. Finally, they want to end factory farming, the badger cull and animal testing. See the party’s most crucial pledges below |
