Two men have denied murdering 18-year-old Nicola Payne, who vanished more than 23 years ago.

Nigel Barwell, 50, of Copperas Street, Coventry and Thomas O'Reilly, 50, of Ribble Road, Coventry, entered not guilty pleas at Birmingham Crown Court.

Both men were first arrested in December 2013 over the mother-of-one's disappearance in the Coventry on December 14, 1991.

The pair were remanded in custody and told they will face trial on 5 October.

Despite searches of several areas, Ms Payne's body has never been found.

In the years since she went missing, parents John and Marilyn Payne have made appeals for information to trace their daughter.

There have been three police investigations since Ms Payne's disappearance.
