Nicola Glover, 29, also faced a charged of child cruelty when she appeared before South Sefton Magistrates.

Her baby was found at Silcock's Amusements in Southport, Merseyside, last Thursday.

Ms Glover, of Hughes Avenue, Prescot, was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court next month.

Nurses at Ormskirk Hospital in Lancashire, where the girl was cared for, have named her April. Police said she is now "safe and well".
