Coventry youths held over 'Syria terrorism offences' bailed

Two teenagers held on suspicion of preparing to travel to Syria to engage in terrorism have been bailed.

The pair, both aged 17, were detained at their homes in Coventry on Tuesday by officers from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit.

They have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

In a separate investigation, a 39-year-old man arrested in Coventry on suspicion of fundraising for the purpose of terrorism has been bailed.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command arrested the man, who has been bailed until mid-June as police continue to investigate.
