Turkish warplanes have bombed several Kurdish villages near the border in northern Iraq in a fresh wave of attacks, Kurdish officials say. Turkish warplanes have attacked some 70 Kurdish rebel targets in northern Iraq, the Turkish military says.
The raids came early on Monday, but there are no reports yet about casualties or damage. It says the raid began at 0100 GMT and its planes returned safely after successfully completing the mission.
