Alleged Avengers: Age of Ultron post-credits scene introduces familiar face
Version 0 of 1. While Joss Whedon has claimed that his superhero sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron won’t feature a trademark post-credits scene, an alleged leak has cropped up online over the weekend. Although the video might be fake, if you don’t want to risk a surprise being spoiled, you should probably stop reading now. The scene, with Spanish subtitles, features a window cleaner, with Avengers Tower in the background, as he interacts with Spider-Man. Spidey quips that he’s missed a spot and then that’s about it. It was initially reported on Comic Book Movie. Related: Joss Whedon: ‘Making The Avengers is tough. I may die…’ It follows the recent announcement that Spider-Man will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe but without an actor yet cast and a reported suit change, the scene could well be a fake. Whedon claimed that the lack of a post-credits scene was down to an inability to top the shawarma epilogue at the end of the first Avengers film. “We all came at it separately – we don’t want to chase that,” he said to Entertainment Weekly earlier this month. “That was a jewel and a weird little quirk.” But Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige clarified that there would be a tag (a short scene that arrives after the credits start) but nothing after the end. The upload came at the end of a week that’s seen leaks of the new Batman vs Superman and Fantastic Four trailers. The Avengers: Age of Ulton opens in UK cinemas on 23 April. |
