Goalkeeper sacked by Malaysian club for swearing at police officer Sorry - this page has been removed.
(about 21 hours later)
The Malaysian champions Johor Darul Ta’zim have sacked their goalkeeper Mohd Anis Faron Ahmad for swearing at a police officer after a loss, local media reported. This could be because it launched early, our rights have expired, there was a legal issue, or for another reason.
The 33-year-old was charged by a court in Penang this week for the outburst which came after a second-tier Premier League match for the Johor development side at the City Stadium in Penang.
Mohd Anis faces a five-year prison sentence, a fine, or both if found guilty. For further information, please contact:
The Johor club’s president Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim told local media: “There is no use for us to keep a football player that failed to display discipline as a professional player.”
