Boy charged over school stabbing

A 13-year-old boy has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm after a 14-year-old pupil was stabbed in a classroom at a school in Leeds.

The 14-year-old, who was stabbed three times in the chest and stomach with a knife on Friday, is still being treated in hospital.

Police said his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

The 13-year-old is due to appear at Leeds Youth Court on Wednesday, a West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said.
