It seems that Richard Wilson, head of comedy entertainment at Hat Trick, wasn’t asked why his profitable company paid a runner so badly that he needed a weekend job in Stoke to pay his weekday rent in London (Interview, 13 April). He said: “If you work in television and don’t know someone who lives in London it’s impossible. That’s a problem and the industry needs to address it.” He is the industry. • While some viewers may have been moderately interested in Poldark’s pre-breakfast beach strip in last Sunday’s episode (Previews, The Guide, 11 April), they should be far more concerned about the challenge to Copernicus just before it, which showed the sun apparently rising in a shallow arc from right to left, pretty amazing for the northern hemisphere, even in Cornwall.
