Dapper Laughs stages comeback gig
http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/32265933 Version 0 of 1. Dapper Laughs has made his live comeback. The comedy character, created by Daniel O'Reilly, was brought back on Christmas Day last year after being "killed off" in November. It was after it was claimed Dapper joked about rape at one of his gigs - something he denies. The comeback show at Clapham Grand in London dubbed 'The Res'erection' was filmed for a DVD to be released in September. Speaking to Newsbeat earlier this year, O'Reilly says he felt bullied into ditching Dapper and his freedom of speech had been "100% violated". Nineteen-year-old Bradley Spurr was pulled up on stage by Dapper Laughs and was told he looks like Harry Potter. He says: "He pulled a few people up on stage and did a few games with us where we couldn't say yes or no. "It was a really good night. Everyone loved it and was laughing. Later on everyone was coming up to me knowing who I was. I was the celebrity of the night. "I'm a big fan of Dapper, he's a good laugh. It was a bit of everything, he was telling stories. He was just being Dapper which is great. I loved it." Newsbeat spoke to Amy, a student from Sheffield, in February. She believes Dapper Laughs is "dangerous". "The way that is on Facebook, and everywhere, like it's so big on social media, I think that's one of the most dangerous things about it. "People see that every single day, it's like normality being misogynistic about women. I don't think freedom of speech comes into that. I think it's very dangerous and perpetuates rape culture."
