Watch as group in China lift 1-tonne car to rescue woman trapped underneath
Version 0 of 1. A woman in China has been rescued from underneath a one-tonne car after she was struck by the vehicle while cycling along a busy road. CCTV footage has captured the moment she was hit by the motorist as the car turned onto a road in the city of Yuxi after the driver failed to see her. In the video, the car crashes directly into the woman as she is cycling along the road. The driver is then seen quickly getting out of the car to try to help the woman who is trapped under the front wheels. As the female driver struggles to get the woman out from under the vehicle, many other motorists pull over and get out of their cars to help. She is not believed to be suffering from life-threatening injuries but is receiving further medical treatment. It is believed that the nervous driver hit the woman after she confused the accelerator for the brake and collided with the cyclist moments before the crash. This is not the first time an incident like this has happened in China. Back in November 2013 a woman was rescued from under a car by passersby in Ningbo, Zhejiang province during rush hour traffic. More than 10 people came to the aid of the woman to lift the vehicle. |
