Watch: Man takes selfie every mile of 2,600 mile hike, creates amazing timelapse video
Version 0 of 1. A photographer has taken a selfie every mile for an epic journey across America, walking from Mexico to Canada, and compiled them in an amazing timelapse video. Andy Davidhazy trekked 2,659 miles from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail, taking a photograph at each mile and then compiling them to create a timelapse video showing his journey. Although Mr Davidhazy completed the 2000 mile trek last August, the video compiled of his selfies was only published earlier this month - racking up hundreds of thousands of views within days. In the timelapse viewers can witness the change the extraordinary hike had on Mr Davidhazy, who is almost physically unrecognisable as the same person at the end of his mammoth trek. The images and accompanying video are part of project Lost and Found, which aims to explore life before and after significant experiences - such as trekking the Pacific Crest Trail - through a film. The project, which is working towards creating a film following a fictional ‘Andy’ rediscovering his life following the death of a close friend, has garnered both corporate and grassroots support with a crowd-funding initiative launched earlier this month. |
