Armed police make arrest in city Man to appear on assault charge

Armed officers made an arrest as Gwent Police investigated allegations of threats against people in the Duffryn area of Newport. A 24-year-old man is due to appear in court after allegations that threats were made to people in the Duffryn area of Newport on Saturday.

In a separate incident, a man surrendered himself to North Wales Police after they were called to Llandudno on Saturday night. Lee Tutton, from Newport, will appear at the city's magistrates court charged with affray and assault.
North Wales Police said they had been looking in the Craig-y-Don area for a man who may have been involved in a disturbance. Inquiries are continuing.
