Family targeted in pipe bombing

A family have escaped injury after a pipe bomb attack on a house in Antrim.

Eight young people aged between 13-20 were moved out while Army technical experts dealt with the remainder of the viable device.

The incident took place in the Stiles Farm area in the early hours of the morning.

The device was pushed through the letterbox of the property shortly before 0230 GMT on Sunday. It exploded causing minor damage to the hall.

A motive for the attack has yet to be established, said the police.
