Boy in court after teenager dies Murder charge youth, 14, remanded

A 14-year-old boy is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court after a teenager died in Bishopbriggs. A 14-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of Christopher Johnston, 17, who died after suffering serious injuries in Bishopbriggs.
The schoolboy was arrested after Christopher Johnston, 17, was found injured in Ronaldsay Drive at about 2130 GMT on Saturday. The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
Police said Mr Johnston, known as Diff to his friends, died later in Glasgow Royal Infirmary. He made no plea or declaration, was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
The 14-year-old, who cannot be identified, was due to appear in court on Monday. Mr Johnston was found injured in Ronaldsay Drive at 2120 on Saturday. He later died at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
