No-one was to blame for a savage dog attack that left a kennel worker with one arm amputated, an inquiry found.

Mandy Peynado was badly injured in the attack by a rescued Rottweiler at the Knightwood Kennels near Salisbury, Wiltshire, in December 2007.

Salisbury District Council said its environment health team had carried out a thorough investigation and concluded the incident was an accident.

The dog was destroyed by Wiltshire Police after the attack.

New Forest District Council, which brought the animal to the kennels, said the animal had shown no previous signs of aggression.

It was captured as a stray roaming the streets.
