A teenager who was seriously assaulted at a caravan park in south Wales, has died. A murder investigation has been launched after the death of an 18-year-old man who was attacked at a south Wales caravan park.
Connor Marshall, 18, from Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, was found in a life-threatening condition outside a caravan at Trecco Bay Caravan Park, Porthcawl, in the early hours of Sunday. South Wales Police say they have now launched a murder inquiry. South Wales Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses.
Detectives want to hear from anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious in the Cedars, Firs or Beeches areas of the park between midnight and 08:00 GMT on Sunday.
Det Supt Paul Hurley said: "This was a brutal attack upon Connor with fatal consequences.
"I believe the person responsible may have shared information with friends, relatives or neighbours and I would urge anyone who has information or who may have been in the area of Trecco Bay between midnight and 7am on Sunday 8 March to contact the police.
"I would like to reassure residents and visitors to Porthcawl and Trecco Bay caravan park that this appears to be an isolated incident on a well managed site."
The force said staff at the caravan park are working closely with officers.
