Version 0 of 1.

A man accused of murdering his girlfriend has claimed she "dared" him to kill her after he discovered she was working as a prostitute.

Chang Hai Zhang claimed Mei Na Qu, 22, taunted him after he found a list of her clients.

Mr Zhang, from Skegoniel Avenue, and his cousin were arrested at a garage after a neighbour spotted them putting Mei's body into the boot of a car.

He said he strangled her in a "rage" and denies murder.

He told the court he decided to get rid of her body believing if he went to the police he "would be shot to death".

However, Zhang had no explanation for DNA samples found in his flat which indicated that Mei could have had sex with two other men other than him.

The trial, at Belfast Crown Court, will continue next week.
