£10,000 damage in vandalism spree

Damage worth £10,000 was caused to seven vehicles at a garage in an overnight vandalism spree in Worthing.

Sussex Police said vandals struck at three locations in the space of five hours between Monday and Tuesday.

They broke into lorries at a food distributors, stealing three car stereos, a mobile phone, and a fire extinguisher, and other equipment.

And several more vehicles were also damaged and broken into in The Quashetts, a police spokesman said.
