One of the injured officers has been transferred to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow after suffering "serious" injuries in the smash.
Three other officers are being treated at Stirling Royal Infirmary. It is believed a sixth member of the fire crew escaped without injury.

The accident happened close to the Harviestoun Country Hotel on the outskirts of Tillicoultry. The area is a notorious accident blackspot.
The road between Tillicoultry and Dollar is expected to remain closed for a considerable period of time while an investigation into the cause of the crash is carried out.
Ch Insp Donald McMillan of Cental Scotland Police confirmed: "Earlier this afternoon a fire appliance from Alloa was attending an emergency call.
"During the process of attending to that call there was a collision. One of the fire officers received fatal injuries and four others are receiving treatment.
"It is far too early to say anything with regard to the cause of the incident. An investigation is ongoing as we speak."
A spokesman for Central Scotland Fire and Rescue said: "We are shocked and our thoughts are with the crew and their families. We cannot comment any further at this time."
