Animals great and small are being counted as part of a Hull aquarium's annual census.

The count at The Deep, which takes place every year, involves more than 3,500 fish, 3,000 bugs and insects.

Every member of staff will be involved in the two-day census check, which covers 200 different species.

Curator Katy Duke said: "The vast majority of our species are fish and are constantly on the move. Some of the species can take a lot of patience."
