A 55-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle crash on the A1 near Dromore, County Down. | |
The road was closed between Dromore and Banbridge following the crash which happened at about 07:15 GMT close to Halfway Road. | |
A woman was taken to hospital following the collision. | |
Police said her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. | |
The PSNI said northbound traffic had been diverted onto the Blackskull Road. Southbound traffic is being diverted through Dromore town. | |
"Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased at this time," PSNI Insp Leslie Badger said. | |
"The A1 remains closed and we would ask motorists to be patient as we carry out our investigations into the collision." |
