Surrey police launch murder inquiry after man found dead in Godalming
Version 0 of 1. A murder investigation has been launched after police discovered the body of a man after receiving a call about concerns for his safety. Officers attended a property in Farncombe, Godalming, Surrey, at about 6pm on Monday where they found the 47-year-old dead. A Surrey police spokesman said the victim’s next of kin have been informed and a 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. The spokesman said: “The man has not yet been formally identified and a postmortem examination to establish the cause of death will take place in due course. “The investigation is still in the early stages but it is believed that the victim and the offender are known to each other. “A 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.” |
