A priest has paid tribute to the Castlederg family who lost two children in a car crash at the weekend.

Brother and sister Eamonn, 11, and Emma Sweeney, 13, from Castlederg died along with the driver of the other vehicle, Jonathan Miller, 18, from Artigarvan.

It happened on the Fyfin Road, near Strabane, on Saturday. Father John Gilmore said it was a tragedy.

"You don't have a magic prayer, you don't have magic words to take it away, or make it any easier," he said.

"Very often, just being with them and listening can do so much."

The children's mother and brother were taken to hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to the accident to contact them.
