Ferrari ask fans for their views on ‘aggressive-looking’ F1 concept car
http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2015/feb/17/ferrari-aggressive-looking-formula-one-concept-car Version 0 of 1. Ferrari have asked fans to give their opinions on a design for a concept Formula One car. With the sport looking to make changes for the future, and with ideas discussed at an F1 meeting in Geneva on Tuesday, Ferrari have unveiled their own vision as to how an F1 car should look. Despite its seemingly radical nature compared with today’s cars, the Maranello marque unveiled their own vision for an F1 car and insist few changes to the regulations would be required for manufacturers to venture down such a route. Ferrari, via their website, said: “Would it be possible to come up with an F1 car which is not only technologically advanced but also captivating to the eye and aggressive-looking? And could this car be made without having to overturn the technical rules? At Ferrari, we believe so. “Let us introduce you to the concept design that was conceived by our design studio together with the Scuderia’s aero department. Minimal changes give the car a look that is way different from what have been familiar with so far. “Our challenge was to create something that was – to put it short – better looking. We value your comments on that.” It is understood McLaren and Red Bull have also produced concept designs but have kept them under wraps. |
