Murdered woman found in city car

The 45-year-old woman was found in a silver Renault Megane at Riverside Drive at about 1105 GMT. The car was involved in an incident on the southbound carriageway of the A90 Aberdeen to Stonehaven road when it was stationary at about 1030 GMT. Grampian Police urged any witnesses to contact them on 0845 600 5700 or 0800 555 111. 'Clear danger' Detective Inspector Andy Imray said of the earlier incident: "It would have presented a clear danger to other road users. "It is likely a number of passing motorists would have seen this car, had to move into the overtaking lane or possibly take other action to avoid colliding with it. "I urgently appeal to any motorists or passengers who may have seen this car to contact Grampian Police." He said enquiries were at a very early stage and a full forensic examination was being carried out at the scene. No details on the deceased will be released until a formal identification has taken place and the next of kin have been informed. |
