Kind strangers send stickers to boy with life-threatening illnesses to grant birthday wish
Version 0 of 1. The parents of a boy who can die anytime from serious illnesses have been urging people around the world to send him uplifting cards and stickers for his 9th birthday – as they’re his favourite. Bubby Everson, who was infected with cytomegalovirus at birth, doesn’t want much for his birthday, however parents Thomas and Brandi have called on kind strangers via Facebook to help make the day extra special with a “card shower” tomorrow. Their son – who can have as many as 10 seizures a day – was diagnosed with autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, deafness, vision impairment and has the mental ability of a child half his age. All this sweet boy wants is a birthday card. Mr and Mrs Everson are planning a treasure hunt for the celebration with the mail being part of the search. Stickers are Bubby’s favourite and many well-wishers have generously sent sheets of them with their cards. “If there are stickers in it, he loves it,” Mr Everson told KTLA. “He’ll play with the stickers. He’ll put stickers all over the place.” Bubby Everson is a sick little boy. All he wants is stickers!! I love him to death and I wouldn’t change him, but knowing that we could lose him at any time — that’s hard,” his mother Brandi told KTLA. “We’re blessed,” she added. “I’m so glad we have the child that we have, because we have the life that we have. And he’s amazing.” To send Bubby a birthday card, use the address below: Bubby EversonPO Box 1142Graham, Washington 98338 |
