Ex-MEP Nikki Sinclaire denies money laundering and misconduct

Former UKIP MEP Nikki Sinclaire has pleaded not guilty to money laundering and misconduct in public office.

The 46-year-old, who represented the West Midlands for UKIP then as an independent, denied the charges at Birmingham Crown Court.

She is accused of committing the offences between 1 October 2009 and 31 July 2010.

The case was adjourned and Ms Sinclaire, of Shirley, West Midlands, was bailed to reappear on 19 October.
