The Port of Dover - which was forced to close for a time on Tuesday - has reopened but only at 75% capacity. Canterbury Cathedral was flooded after heavy rain poured through its lead roof.
Many flood warnings have remained in place since Friday, when flash flooding brought roads and railways to a standstill. A spokeswoman said: "The weather conditions did find significant weaknesses in our roof and windows as the rain came pouring in."
Dover port, which was forced to close for a time on Tuesday, has reopened but only at 75% capacity.
