An elderly man has died after a road accident outside Magherafelt in County Londonderry. | |
The 82-year-old was killed when two cars collided on the Aughrim Road just before 2230 GMT on Thursday. | |
Another man was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The road remains closed. | |
In a separate accident, four teenagers were injured. Their car overturned at a junction on the Old Ballynahinch Road, near Lisburn at about 0130 GMT. | |
The casualties are aged 14, 15, 16 and 17. Three of them were taken to hospital, where one of them is in a serious condition. | |
The other teenager received treatment at the scene of the crash. | |
The road is still closed affecting traffic on the Drennan road, River Road and Balliesmills Road. Drivers are asked to avoid the area. |
