Second arrest over street killing | |

Police in Manchester are questioning a second man over the murder of a 23-year-old who was knocked down by a car after a street disturbance. | |
David Lees was hit by a car, which was then driven off, in Middleton Road, Prestwich, after trouble flared among groups of white and Asian people. | |
A man, 25, was arrested on Saturday and a 27-year-old was arrested on Sunday. | |
Mr Lees' parents, Ann and Don, said he was "one of the best sons anybody could have wished for". | |
About 20 people were seen arguing on the forecourt of a BP garage in the early hours of Saturday. | |
Mr Lees had been among people involved in a row with a group of Asian youths. | |
A car was driven at him and he suffered fatal head injuries. Police want anyone with information about the car or driver, to come forward. | |

Mr Lees, a self-employed brick cleaner, lived with his parents in Blackley. | |
Mr and Mrs Lees said: "David had booked to go to New York in January next year with Brooke, his girlfriend of three and a half years. She, like us, is absolutely devastated by his loss. | |
"It has been an extremely difficult time for us as a family as we've not even had time to come to terms with the loss of our youngest son, Paul, who died unexpectedly at the age of 19, following an illness. | |
"David was one of the best sons anybody could have wished for. | |
"He was very popular with his family and his friends and he'll be sadly missed by all." |
