Version 0 of 1.

The family of a woman whose body was found on a motorway in Hampshire have said they are puzzled and devastated.

Heather Finkill, 30, from Pinewood Park, Farnborough, was discovered on the M3, close to junction 4a, on the morning of 2 January.

Two weeks earlier she had given birth to twin girls.

"How she came to die will be something that we may never come to terms with. We all ask why, but that is a question we cannot answer," her family said.

"The loss of our beautiful Heather has devastated our family.

'Kind and giving'

"No words can describe how we are feeling. We are numb with pure grief.

"Heather was a devoted wife and soul mate to her husband Ryan.

"Heather was a kind and giving person who was loved so much by her family and many friends."

Mrs Finkill was wearing pink pyjama-style trousers, a blue hooded top and white trainers when she died.

She was also wearing a ring set with four to five diamonds on her right hand and a silver necklace was found nearby.

Police were alerted to the body by a member of the public who contacted them shortly before 0700 GMT.

The circumstances of Mrs Finkill's death are still under investigation.
