Man's death in Blantyre treated as suspicious

The man was found with serious injuries in Fernslea Avenue, Blantyre, at about 02:30. He was taken by ambulance to Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride but died a short time after admission. A post-mortem examination will be held to establish the exact cause of death. Police said anyone who witnessed a disturbance should contact them. Det Insp Mark Bell, of Police Scotland's major investigation team, said: "We are trying to establish the circumstances prior to the 27-year-old man being found injured. "I'd like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Fernslea Avenue prior to 02:30 this morning and may have witnessed a disturbance there." |
