Lincoln boy's death: Post-mortem examination to establish cause

A post-mortem examination is being carried out to establish the cause of a nine-year-old boy's death in Lincoln.

The death is being treated as suspicious, and a 64-year-old man is continuing to assist Lincolnshire Police with the investigation.

Officers found the boy when they were called to a house in Pennell Street at about 12:00 GMT on Tuesday.

He was taken to Lincoln County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police are guarding the house where the boy was found and are conducting house to house enquiries in the area.
